The main outcomes of this course are to enable the trainees to have clear understanding and more awareness on importance of safety at work and how to manage the working environment to minimize any risk.  The course covers several topics to be delivered in three days; they are wide range of topics.

There will be sufficient case studies and tutees involvements and if possible, there will be one or more site visits.  A short assessment will be conducted on the last day and certificates will be issued to each trainee. The three days course arranged as follows;

The most important things in an accident are:

When an accident happens, the most important thing is taking care of the victim or victims.

◦       After that, the most important thing is finding the causes of the accident.

◦       All of us, including employers, need help and advice to identify the causes of accidents.

The course will impart these principles using practical application of techniques and “hands-on” experience on software packages, with case studies and examples related to industry.

Outcomes

Be ready when accidents happen

1.     Write a clear policy statement.

2.     Identify those authorized to notify outside agencies (fire, police, etc.)

3.     Designate those responsible to investigate accidents.

4.     Train all accident investigators.

5.     Establish timetables for conducting the investigation and taking corrective action.

6.     Identify those who will receive the report and take corrective action.
