Q- What skills and qualities do you think are important for a successful PM?

Ans: In my experience, successful PMs possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Strong communication skills: the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively
  • Leadership: the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards a common goal
  • Time management: the ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving: the ability to analyse situations, identify problems, and develop solutions
  • Flexibility: the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adjust plans accordingly
  • Attention to detail: the ability to catch errors and ensure accuracy in project deliverables
  • Risk management: the ability to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Q- How do you keep up with the latest trends and developments in the PM field?

Ans: Continuous learning and professional development are essential in the PM field. To keep up with the latest trends and developments, I regularly attend conferences, workshops, and seminars, read industry publications, and participate in online forums and discussion groups. I also network with other PMs and seek out opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge. Additionally, I have found that joining professional associations and obtaining certifications can be helpful in staying up-to-date and advancing my career.

Q- What part of your life do you attribute to PM knowledge?

Ans: When you get into PM, you are exposed to discipline, planning, controlling, and managing in general. I attribute a significant part of my knowledge of PM to my professional experiences in managing projects in the construction industry.

Q- Does PM play a role in shaping you as a person (Personally, professionally and socially)?

Ans: Yes, PM has played a significant role in shaping me as a person both professionally and personally. Through the use of various tools such as brainstorming, mind mapping, and bar charts, PM has shaped my way of thinking, personality, perspective, and approach to problem-solving. These skills have also positively impacted my personal life, enabling me to manage my time and resources more effectively.

Q – Understanding the commitment the Certification requires, what is the one advice you told yourself or was given to persevere?

Ans: The one piece of advice that helped me persevere through the commitment required for certification was to focus on the end goal and find the motivation to push through any obstacles along the way.

Q. How is commitment for the certification realized?

Ans: I realized my commitment to obtaining certification by staying focused on my goals and consistently working towards achieving them. Through a combination of professional experiences and ongoing learning, I have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the PM field. As a result of my commitment and dedication, I have been able to successfully found multiple business ventures in various locations, including the UAE, Canada, KSA, and Iraq. Obtaining certification in PM has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping every step of my journey, and I am grateful for the rewards it has brought me.
